Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Class Teacher to join our team. As a SEN Class Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, while meeting the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons within the national curriculum, meeting the complex ASC & SEMH needs of all pupils.
  • Support the class team in facilitating learning opportunities and promoting positive behaviours.
  • Report on pupils' progress and concerns, and liaise with other school staff to ensure pupils' needs are met.
  • Supervise pupils during non-classroom time, including extra-curricular activities and school trips.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and drive interaction and positive learning outcomes.
Requirements
  • Hold qualified teacher status (QTS).
  • Suitable qualification to degree level.
  • Previous successful teaching experience, preferably teaching EYFS Primary or KS.
  • Some previous experience of working with pupils with SEND within an educational setting.
  • Experience of behaviour management and techniques.
  • Committed to professional development and willing to learn.
  • Must be willing to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check prior to commencing work.
