Senior Practitioner Opportunity

Derbyshire County Council Adult Care is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Practitioner to join the High Peak South Social Work Team on a full-time permanent basis.

The successful candidate will possess substantial knowledge and experience of the statutory responsibilities in implementing The Care Act 2014, as well as expertise in working in accordance with The Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

As a Senior Practitioner, you will be responsible for supporting the Service Manager in providing effective leadership, including supervising and developing the team, providing training and briefing sessions, and leading on good quality peer supervision and proactive improvement of professional standards.

You will also be expected to engage others in ongoing changes, manage complex cases, and demonstrate a strength-based approach while showing awareness of local resources and structures.
