Senior Civil Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at Tony Gee and Partners. As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of major projects, from bridge design to infrastructure development, and contribute to the success of our projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of bridges and other civil engineering projects, ensuring compliance with Eurocodes and industry standards.
  • Develop and implement design solutions that meet project requirements and client needs.
  • Supervise and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective project management and delivery.
  • Produce high-quality design deliverables, including drawings, specifications, and reports.
Requirements
  • Minimum of four years' experience in civil engineering design, with a focus on bridge design and Eurocodes.
  • Proven experience in steel and concrete design, including loading to Eurocodes and element design.
  • Strong understanding of computer software for structural analysis and design.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to work independently and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with a focus on delivering cost-effective and innovative solutions.
Desirable Skills
  • Experience in composite steel/concrete, masonry, geotechnical, and timber design.
  • Proficiency in finite element software for structural analysis.
  • Strong understanding of project management principles and practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing project requirements.
Qualifications
  • BEng or MEng in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Working towards Chartered Civil Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE) status.
