Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Protocol Education. As a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, you will work closely with a student with special educational needs, providing individualized support to help them achieve their academic and personal goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to a student with special educational needs, adapting your approach to meet their unique needs and abilities.
  • Assist the student with their academic work, including note-taking, organization, and time management.
  • Help the student develop their social and emotional skills, including communication, self-awareness, and self-regulation.
  • Collaborate with the student's teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support plan.
  • Monitor and report on the student's progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness and making recommendations for improvement.

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience working with students with special educational needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and other support staff.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
