Job Title: HVAC Engineering Construction Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled HVAC Engineering Construction Lead to join our team at EQUANS. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for managing HVAC construction activities and ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage Contract Engineering Lead activities related to HVAC construction, including the writing of technical specifications for erection activities.
  • Respond to Technical Queries and resolve construction Open Points promptly.
  • Coordinate the response to Exemption Requests and interface with Front Office teams on Field Change Requests/Non-Conformances.
  • Support construction Project Managers in establishing Key Performance Indicators for reporting site progress.
  • Provide proactive technical support to ensure construction activities proceed smoothly without blockers.
  • Ensure integration of post-construction needs into the construction sequence (e.g., Commissioning Test Pack review and acceptance).
  • Coordinate engineering activities, identify and implement process improvements, such as the redlining process on-site.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in an equivalent/related role in the construction industry.
  • Meticulous and rigorous approach to engineering, achieving high professional standards.
  • Ability to deliver engineering safely to the correct quality, time, and cost in a fast-paced, schedule-driven environment.
  • Strong people leadership skills, empowering team members, and coordinating efficient delivery.
  • Ability to influence a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work autonomously with awareness of own limitations.
  • Knowledge of contractual and commercial mechanisms.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Degree in a related engineering field.
  • Chartered Engineer with a relevant engineering institute.
  • Detailed understanding of PWR design and experience in PWR construction.
  • Working knowledge of the French language is an advantage.
  • Good knowledge of CDM Regulations.
