Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform testing and validation of innovative hardware and software updates to meet vehicle development schedules.
  • Create comprehensive test plans for vehicle electrical systems and their components.
  • Establish testing methodologies and necessary resources for effective validation.
  • Evaluate and confirm various functionalities, from individual ECU operations to critical safety features.
  • Oversee technical aspects of electronics-related projects developed by external partners and suppliers.
  • Monitor the progress of feature and function development, coordinating efforts for streamlined testing and validation.
  • Assist in managing technical deliverables, including software timelines and issue tracking.
  • Engage in system evaluations, verification, and validation processes throughout the development phases.
  • Provide assistance and training to Manufacturing and Service teams.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise:
  • Significant experience in testing and validating vehicle systems and subsystems in relevant sectors.
  • Proficient understanding of electrical architectures, system networks, and diagnostic methodologies.
  • Familiarity with software architectures, testing strategies, and development environments.
  • Experience with CAN, FlexRay, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Project engineering expertise, including documentation preparation and risk assessment.
  • Capability to deliver within quality frameworks and manage full product lifecycle activities.
  • Self-driven individual with pertinent engineering qualifications.
  • Valid driving license and eligibility to work in the UK and travel within the EU.
