In this role, you will be responsible for the upkeep and supervision of communal green spaces across various properties managed by Riverside.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Perform gardening tasks such as mowing, trimming, planting, weeding, and litter collection.
  • Manage the clearance of bulk waste from properties as necessary.
  • Report any health and safety concerns or maintenance issues to management.
  • Foster positive relationships with residents and colleagues.
  • Provide coverage for team members during absences, which may involve additional responsibilities.
  • Maintain a cooperative and respectful demeanor while working with others.
  • Ensure all equipment and materials are used safely and effectively.
  • Be prepared for physically demanding work, including lifting and using heavy machinery.
  • Adapt to seasonal demands and address various challenges that may arise.
  • Follow health and safety policies and procedures diligently.

Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

Essential Requirements:

  • Understanding of horticultural practices.
  • Knowledge of gardening tools and their applications.
  • Experience with powered gardening equipment.
  • Commitment to health and safety standards.
  • Relevant training and experience in grounds maintenance.
  • Awareness of risk management, particularly regarding public safety.
  • Valid driving license.
