Job Title: Research Officer - Social Research
Job Summary:
The Lines Between is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Research Officer to join our team. As a Research Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of qualitative research and analysis for our growing portfolio of client accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the recruitment of research participants
- Gather and review documents for evidence reviews
- Assist with the development of research tools, such as surveys and discussion guides
- Support the delivery of focus groups
- Support transcription processes
- Support the recording and analysis of new business opportunities
- Data coding and analysis
- Produce draft sections of reports, presentations, and case studies to a high standard, including proofreading
Requirements:
- At least two years' work-based research or consultancy experience, ideally in social research
- Excellent social skills and experience of engaging diverse participants in research
- Experience of supporting delivery across a range of research projects
- Excellent writing and editing skills, including an ability to communicate complex issues and ideas in an accessible and engaging way
- Excellent planning and time-management skills
- Critical reading, review, and analysis skills, honed through experience of working with a range of qualitative data
- Pro-active and flexible approach to task delivery
- Excellent verbal communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills with an ability to contribute effectively and constructively within a team
- Strong attention to detail and logical approach to information gathering and analysis
- Capacity to work across multiple projects with different deadlines
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to deliver on time and within budget
- A full driving license and access to a car

The Lines Between is a social research organization that delivers objective, robust research that informs, engages, and influences a wide range of service providers, funders, stakeholders, and communities. We provide consultation analysis, evaluations, primary research, surveys, case studies, and evidence reviews, using a range of traditional and innovative approaches.

- An annual training budget of £1k
- A salary of £25k - £29k, depending on experience
