Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Engineer to join our team at SIM Switchgear. As a Service Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe execution of all Service related Projects, providing technical support and advice to customers, and delivering high-quality service to meet customer needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Fielding customer inquiries and providing technical support and advice
  • Generating quotations for Service related work
  • Undertaking pre-mobilisation duties, including risk assessments and method statements
  • Participating in a proactive and collaborative approach to Health & Safety
  • Safely performing all necessary Service related tasks
  • Undertaking safety, competence and task related training
  • Participating in the out-of-hours call-out service as required
  • Ensuring all reports and expenses are submitted in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Time served apprentice in an electrical engineering background
  • Education to a minimum ONC level in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
  • Familiarity with producing Technical Reports
  • Experience in the fundamentals of electrical switchgear, its operation, maintenance and fault finding
  • IT skills including familiarity with Microsoft suite programmes
  • Experience of offshore/marine working
  • Experience within a challenging, customer focussed environment
