Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Healthcare Support Worker to join our dynamic and friendly Thrombosis Team at Ysbyty Glan Clwyd hospital.

The successful candidate will support the Thrombosis Specialist Nurses in delivering evidence-based care in the acute clinic setting, working in partnership with other health professionals, patients, and their families and carers.

The role involves direct patient contact, extended HCSW roles such as phlebotomy, and supporting the multidisciplinary team in service development.

The ideal candidate will be flexible, able to meet the demands of an acute outpatient service, and possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Main Duties

Assist the Thrombosis Specialist Nurse in delivering a high standard of care for query DVT patients in an acute outpatient setting.

Support the Thrombosis Team in delivering evidence-based care, working in partnership with other health professionals, patients, and their families and carers.

Carry out extended HCSW roles such as phlebotomy and support the multidisciplinary team in service development.
