Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Software Engineering Lead to join our team at Eames Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership and guidance to a team of developers, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Technical Leadership: Lead a team of Java developers, providing technical guidance, mentoring, and coaching to ensure the team's technical expertise and skills are aligned with the company's goals.
  • Business Alignment: Collaborate with product management and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions that meet the company's needs.
  • Architecture and Design: Architect and design scalable, reliable, and maintainable Java-based applications that meet the company's technical standards.
  • Coding Standards and Best Practices: Define coding standards, best practices, and development methodologies to ensure high-quality software delivery and adherence to industry standards.
  • Code Reviews and Feedback: Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to improve code quality and consistency.
  • Technical Innovation: Identify technical challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them, staying up-to-date with the latest technologies, tools, and trends in Java development.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with QA engineers to ensure comprehensive test coverage and timely resolution of issues, and participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 8+ years of professional experience in Java software development, with previous experience in a technical leadership role, leading teams of developers.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Java, with a deep understanding of its ecosystem, and experience with Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Security, etc.) and Hibernate.
  • Web Technologies: Proficiency in web technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
  • Database Management: Experience with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, etc.) and NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Redis, etc.).
  • Software Development Methodologies: Solid understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.).
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
