About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our team at Outcomes First Group. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of education to young adults in a learning environment that caters for pupils with complex behavioural support needs and health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the education team in delivering high-quality education to young adults with complex needs
  • Assist in creating a safe and inclusive learning environment that promotes positive outcomes
  • Work closely with the education team to develop and implement individualized learning plans
  • Provide support and guidance to young adults with complex needs, including those with autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions
  • Collaborate with other professionals, including teachers, therapists, and healthcare professionals, to ensure a comprehensive approach to supporting young adults

Requirements

  • Experience working with young adults with complex needs, preferably in an educational setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with young adults and colleagues
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach
  • Knowledge of autism, learning disabilities, and mental health conditions, and the ability to apply this knowledge in a practical setting
  • Relevant qualifications, such as a teaching assistant qualification or NVQ in health and social care
