About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled clinical leader to join our team as the Lead for Suicide Prevention and Clinical Risk Management. This is an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of our patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert leadership and guidance to multidisciplinary teams on suicide prevention and clinical risk management.
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive approach to suicide prevention and risk reduction across the trust.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure a whole-system approach to suicide prevention and risk management.
  • Lead the Family Liaison Team to provide support to families and carers affected by suicide and non-fatal incidents.
  • Develop and deliver training programs on suicide prevention and clinical risk management for staff across the trust.
  • Contribute to the development of clinical research and practice development initiatives related to suicide prevention and risk management.
Requirements
  • Current professional registration as a nurse or allied health professional.
  • Considerable experience of working as a senior clinician in mental health.
  • Experience of working in a suicide prevention role or capacity.
  • Experience of collaborating with a wide range of agencies, including patients and carers.
  • Theoretical knowledge base of suicide and clinical risk assessment.
  • Working knowledge of national nursing and mental health strategy and policy.
