About the Role:

At Blue Cross, we are embarking on an exciting journey with our new strategic initiative, Our Focus. As a Project Lead, you will be instrumental in driving this vision forward through effective project execution.

Your primary responsibility will be to oversee a diverse range of projects and programs that align with our strategic objectives, ultimately enhancing the welfare of pets.

We seek an individual who can apply our structured methodology to ensure organization and clarity in their work while promoting teamwork and innovation.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Utilize our established project management framework (inspired by Prince2) to successfully plan and execute projects.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, quality, and performance to ensure objectives are met.
  • Develop strong partnerships with colleagues and external stakeholders related to your projects.
  • Collaborate effectively to create feasible plans and allocate resources efficiently.
  • Communicate project updates, challenges, and achievements clearly to stakeholders and senior management.
  • Address changes and issues proactively, devising creative solutions.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks.
  • Maintain comprehensive and accurate project documentation.
About You:

We are looking for a driven and experienced Project Lead who is passionate about project management and animal welfare. You will be a natural leader with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Your proven ability to deliver projects successfully, on time and within budget, will be essential.

What You Bring:

  • Experience in leading projects from inception to completion.
  • Strong project management skills and technical expertise (Prince2 or equivalent).
  • Excellent organizational and planning capabilities.
  • A meticulous approach with attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in engaging diverse teams.
  • A genuine passion for animal welfare.
  • Experience managing multiple projects concurrently is advantageous.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Previous experience in animal welfare or charity sectors is a plus.
