SEN Teaching Assistant Role

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a local school in Romsey. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in promoting positive behaviour and fostering a supportive learning environment for students.

About the Role:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies.
  • Providing one-on-one support to students with behavioural challenges.
  • Collaborating with the school's SENCO and other professionals to create tailored intervention plans.
  • Supporting the overall well-being of students and contributing to a positive school ethos.
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
  • Understanding of behaviour management strategies and their application in a school environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient and empathetic approach to supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Relevant qualifications in education or psychology would be advantageous.
