Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely SEN Secondary School in Romsey.

About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be responsible for supporting the class teacher and providing individualized support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will work closely with the teaching staff to develop and implement personalized learning plans, ensuring that all pupils have access to a high-quality education.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering lessons and providing individualized support to pupils with SEN
  • Develop and implement personalized learning plans to meet the needs of pupils with SEN
  • Work closely with the teaching staff to ensure that all pupils have access to a high-quality education
  • Support pupils with ASC, complex needs, and challenging behavior
  • Participate in outdoor day trips and activity days to enhance the learning experience

Requirements:

  • Experience working with pupils with SEN (not essential)
  • Strong ability to develop relationships and rapport with pupils
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, proactivity, and resilience
