About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate teacher to join our team at Hill House School, a 52-week residential special school providing quality care and education for young people with autism and complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging and memorable learning experiences to students with ASD, following the Hill House curriculum
  • Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students, working closely with teaching assistants and other staff members
  • Develop and implement schemes of work, medium-term plans, and lesson plans that meet the needs of students
  • Support students with ASD in learning activities and personal skills, promoting independence and self-confidence
  • Take on a subject or curriculum area responsibility, relating to the skills and experience you can bring to the role

Requirements
  • Qualified teacher with experience of working with students with autism and complex needs
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging and memorable learning experiences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with students, staff, and parents
  • Commitment to safeguarding and protecting the young people and service users within our care
  • Enhanced DBS clearance and registration with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
