Job Summary

The Cambian Group is seeking an experienced and passionate teacher to join our team at Hill House School, a 52-week residential special school providing quality care and education for young people with autism and complex needs.

About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and creative teacher who can cater to the diverse needs of our students. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging learning experiences, following the Hill House curriculum, and working as part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver lessons to a class group, following schemes of work and creating medium-term plans
  • Support students with ASD in learning activities and personal skills
  • Take on a subject or curriculum area responsibility, relating to the skills and experience you can bring to the role
  • Work as part of a committed team, catering to the diverse needs of our students

Requirements

  • Experience in teaching students with special needs, particularly autism
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging learning experiences
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a multi-disciplinary approach
