Job Title: Transport Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled Transport Supervisor to lead our busy late shift operation in Maidstone for a leading UK contract in the healthcare industry.

As a key member of our team, you will work closely with the Transport Manager to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet of class 2 vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee a team of circa 20 drivers and provide guidance and support to ensure they are equipped to perform their duties effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of drivers to ensure they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Collaborate with the Transport Manager to develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance, driver performance, and other relevant data.
  • Identify and address any issues or concerns that may impact the smooth operation of the fleet.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a transport or logistics management role.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
