Position Summary:

This role is situated at our manufacturing facility, where you will oversee our dedicated maintenance team. We seek an individual with strong technical skills, adept problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to driving substantial enhancements throughout the site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operations of the maintenance team.
  • Lead projects while collaborating with essential internal and external partners, including contractors, regulatory bodies, enforcement agencies, and suppliers.
  • Establish and uphold a Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) system.
  • Identify cost-effective suppliers for consumables and services necessary for site maintenance.
  • Foster a robust health and safety culture on-site, promoting best practices through assistance with risk assessments, safe working procedures, incident reporting, and investigations; develop, implement, and maintain the Integrated Management System; assess contractor risk assessments and method statements (RAMs).
  • Ensure adequate support for production and warehouse teams during breakdowns.
  • Maintain the building, facilities, and equipment according to the scheduled maintenance plan.
  • Conduct general maintenance and repairs on the premises, grounds, and equipment as needed.
  • Execute routine, emergency, and specialized repairs and maintenance tasks as required.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively.
  • Proven project management capabilities, with a track record of successfully leading a maintenance team.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving, demonstrating tenacity in addressing challenges.
  • Technical expertise validated by relevant qualifications or equivalent experience in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience in managing maintenance operations within a manufacturing environment, covering buildings, machinery, and equipment, utilizing both in-house and external resources.
  • Experience in the chemical industry is advantageous, particularly in liquid filling manufacturing processes.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Proficient IT skills.
  • Professional demeanor characterized by approachability, punctuality, and a personable attitude.
  • Solution-oriented mindset to effectively resolve inquiries and issues.
