Role Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to deliver Process Engineering support to our UK operations, contributing to modifications and projects as necessary.

This position is a contract role with the potential for extension following the initial contract period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all operations are conducted safely, adhering to all regulatory standards, legislation, and Harbour Energy's HSES Procedures.
  • Provide comprehensive Process Engineering support to UK operations.

Accountability and Competence Areas:

  • Evaluate and develop potential engineering work scopes aimed at enhancing process safety, environmental sustainability, reliability, and production efficiency.
  • Create and assess detailed calculations, process engineering datasheets, process simulation models, and drawings to meet the process engineering needs of our assets.
  • Assist in conducting process safety assessments such as HAZOP and LOPA, and ensure timely closure of actions arising from these reviews.
  • Offer technical assistance to Operations teams as required.
  • Challenge the technical aspects, engineering performance, and cost-effectiveness of modification projects.
  • Support the execution of Technical Work Management scopes for proposed studies, modifications, and projects.
  • Engage in Research and Development initiatives as needed.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as directed by your manager.

Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Degree in engineering or a satisfactory equivalent, such as HND/HNC, along with relevant qualifications/experience and/or vocational certifications.
  • Membership in a professional body, working towards Chartership, is preferred.
  • Operational and engineering experience is advantageous.
  • Developing relevant technical expertise.
  • Experience in offshore operations.
  • Understanding of processes necessary to achieve HSE objectives, with a thorough knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape.
  • Growing familiarity with Harbour Energy's Corporate and Local budget, maintenance, and project management processes and tools.
  • Self-motivated with strong personal leadership skills and a commitment to teamwork. Ability to perform effectively within a collaborative peer group and drive towards optimal business solutions.
  • Excellent communication, influencing, negotiation, and networking abilities. Builds strong relationships and is respected both internally and externally.
  • Developing a passion for continuous improvement and the ability to initiate and implement change.
  • Acceptance of ambitious yet realistic goals and targets, with a drive to consistently achieve them.
  • Awareness of Harbour Energy's HSEQ Policies and Business Management System (BMS).
  • Understanding of Harbour Energy's Values & Business Principles.
