Base Location: Alzheimer Scotland, Cromarty House, Sun Street Stranraer, DG9 7JL

We are seeking unique individuals to join our team at our dementia-specific day service in Stranraer. Our day services are tailored to the preferences and needs of individuals, providing therapeutic activities that focus on maintaining skills and independence.

Our Support Workers play a vital role in providing front-line support. Successful applicants will have a positive approach to dementia, good communication skills, and a caring attitude. They will support individuals to stay connected to their communities, engage in their interests and hobbies, and access peer support.

Contributing to activity development and leading the way towards exciting and new activities to promote brain health is also essential. The use of a car is preferred, with mileage and expenses paid.

A willingness to learn and participate in training, including SVQs, and registration with the SSSC is essential. Relevant qualifications and/or experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
