Job Title: Functional Skills English & Maths Tutor

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Functional Skills English & Maths Tutor to join our team at Novus, our prison education provider at HMP Holme House. As a Tutor, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education to learners, supporting them to achieve their goals and unlock their full potential.

About the Role

As a Functional Skills English & Maths Tutor, you will be responsible for developing and delivering engaging and effective learning programs that meet the needs of our learners. You will work closely with colleagues to ensure that our learners receive the best possible education and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality learning programs that meet contractual requirements and standards
  • Support learners to achieve their goals and unlock their full potential
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure that our learners receive the best possible education and support
  • Contribute to the development of our education team and the improvement of our services
Requirements
  • A teaching qualification or subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level - new standards)
  • Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy
  • Track record of effective teaching in subject specialism
