About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst/Strategic Product Owner to join our team at AwesomeBooks. As a key member of our organization, you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between our business objectives and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to define, prioritize, and deliver features that align with our circular economy goals.
  • Own the product backlog for one or more teams, ensuring that stakeholders' requirements are appropriately detailed and prioritized.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to understand both business needs and technical constraints.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business operations and technical capabilities.
  • Communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Product Owner in an agile environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Strong understanding of agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • A genuine interest in sustainability and the principles of the circular economy.
  • A focus on personal improvement and learning.
Desirable Skills
  • Certified Professional Scrum Master (CPSM) or similar qualification.
  • Familiarity with Microservices Architectures.
  • Familiarity with Cloud Computing (preferably AWS).
