Job Title: HGV1 Driver

We are seeking a skilled HGV1 driver to join our team at Get Staff, a leading recruitment agency in Portsmouth. As a Class 1 driver, you will be responsible for driving HGV1 articulated lorries and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive HGV1 articulated lorries for general haulage, curtain-sided, and fridge operations
  • Maintain accurate records of break times and adhere to WTD regulations
  • Ensure compliance with agency and client regulations and procedures
  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of work delivered
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and clients
Requirements:
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
  • Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (DCPC Card)
  • Valid Digital Tachograph card
  • No more than 6 points on the licence
  • At least 6 months to a year of experience in HGV1 driving
  • Good working knowledge of the UK motorway road network and WTD regulations
