Job SummaryThis role is part of our UK Finance Team, based in our Portlethen office. The successful candidate will support our current Statutory Accountant and be responsible for preparing management accounts for Europe and Sub-Saharan Africa regions.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and submit accurate financial statements and reports in accordance with local regulations.
- Ensure timely filing of tax returns, VAT, and other statutory obligations.
- Liaise with external auditors and regulatory authorities as necessary.
- Review internal controls and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Support and handle AP/AR queries, liaising with the transactional team in India.
- Provide accurate and timely presentation of financial statements, including balance sheet notes.
- Perform review and analysis of financial statements with business segment owners.
- Recognized accounting qualification or actively studying towards qualification.
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures.
- Good project and people management abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Oracle and FMS systems experience (desirable).
