Loader Operative Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Loader Operative to join our team at Biffa Waste Services. As a Loader Operative, you will play a crucial role in collecting waste from designated collection points and ensuring that all waste is loaded correctly and safely.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect waste from designated collection points and return containers where necessary.
  • Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Work with minimal supervision to achieve collection targets.
  • Assist residents as required and provide excellent customer service.
  • Ensure all waste is loaded correctly and safely, and that spillages are cleared up immediately.
  • Act as a reversing assistant to ensure safe manoeuvring of the vehicle.
  • Adhere to legal requirements and the Company's health and safety rules and procedures.

Requirements:

  • Team working and communication skills.
  • Able to follow health and safety guidelines.
  • Basic communication skills.
  • Good timekeeper.
