Job Title: Engineering Project Manager

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Project Manager to join our team at Owen Daniels. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery, and meeting customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously, with budgets ranging from £50k to £1m.
  • Oversee the entire project lifecycle, from quotation to commissioning and project close-down.
  • Ensure financial performance and results meet project objectives.
  • Organize project teams and provide direction to ensure project success.
  • Plan and maintain project schedules, monitoring progress and adjusting as needed.
  • Report project developments to stakeholders, including project review meetings and customer updates.
  • Ensure tasks are coordinated and completed in accordance with standard practices and customer expectations.
  • Deliver projects within scope, budget, quality, and schedule.
  • Manage customer relationships and satisfaction throughout the project.
  • Handle claims and change orders.
  • Provide project integration with stakeholders.
  • Perform risk management to mitigate project risks.
  • Capture and evaluate lessons learned from projects.
  • Develop procurement plans with the supply chain to meet project schedules.

Requirements:

  • Degree in engineering.
  • Experience in manufacturing, engineering, pharmaceutical, or chemical environments.
  • Relevant project management education.
  • Application of project management methodologies and skills in commercial project management.
  • More than 3 years' experience as a commercial project manager.
  • Knowledge in negotiation and dispute resolution.

Benefits:

  • 39-hour basic working week, Monday to Friday.
  • Annual holiday entitlement starts at 25 days, with extra days for long service to a maximum of 28.

  • Employer contribution to pension scheme of up to 5% of basic salary (subject to employee contributions of 4% of basic salary).

Working Hours:

  • Flexible working hours, 7am – 9.30am start and 3.30pm – 5.30pm finish.
  • Friday 2.30pm finish.
