Job Title: Windows Systems/Support Engineer

Location: Onsite, 5 days per week

Duration: 12-month contract with potential for contract-to-hire

Position Summary: We are seeking a Windows Systems/Support Engineer to support our client's Windows 11 migration project. The ideal candidate will have experience in Windows administration, technical support across various platforms, and a solid understanding of networking. This is an onsite role requiring a commitment of 5 days per week.

  1. Lead the Windows 11 migration project, ensuring seamless transition and minimal downtime.
  2. Provide technical support for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems.
  3. Manage and troubleshoot LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, routing protocols, load balancing, and backup/disaster recovery systems.
  4. Ensure system security and compliance with organizational policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Design and implement Windows 11 migration strategies to minimize downtime and ensure seamless transition.
  2. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for Windows, Linux, and Mac operating systems, including hardware and software issues.
  3. Manage and maintain LAN/WAN networks, firewalls, routing protocols, load balancing, and backup/disaster recovery systems to ensure optimal performance and security.
  4. Develop and implement system security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with organizational standards.

Requirements:

  1. Proven experience as a Windows Systems/Support Engineer, particularly in Windows administration.
  2. Strong background in technical support, including experience with Linux and Mac operating systems.
  3. Solid understanding of networking concepts, including LAN/WAN, firewalls, routing protocols, and load balancing.
  4. Familiarity with remote support tools and methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. MCSE certification.
  2. CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications.
