Job Title: Building Safety Adviser

Streamline Search is seeking a highly skilled Building Safety Adviser to join our team. As a key member of our HSEQ department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of health, safety, environment, and quality across all our operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Develop and implement HSEQ policies, procedures, and systems in line with company standards and regulatory requirements.
  2. Conduct site audits and inspections to ensure compliance with HSEQ standards, identifying and rectifying potential hazards.
  3. Lead investigations into incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
  4. Ensure all site activities comply with relevant health and safety legislation, including those specific to drilling rigs and ground investigation services.
  5. Provide HSEQ guidance and support to site supervisors, drilling crews, and other personnel.
  6. Deliver HSEQ training and presentations to staff, promoting a culture of safety and quality.
  7. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of health and safety laws, industry regulations, and best practices, especially those related to drilling and site investigation.
  8. Prepare detailed reports on HSEQ performance, presenting findings to senior management and clients as required.
  9. Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure HSEQ considerations are integrated into project planning and execution.
Requirements:
  1. NEBOSH Certificate
  2. Proven experience in a similar HSEQ role, preferably within the ground investigation or construction industry.
  3. Strong knowledge of health and safety laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  4. Experience conducting root cause analysis and incident investigations.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, with the ability to create and deliver presentations.
  6. Ability and want to learn quickly, particularly in relation to drilling rigs and associated safety requirements.
  7. Willingness to travel and stay away from home to conduct site audits.
