About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team at Capita. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for managing multiple mechanically biased contracts, including air conditioning, swimming pool plants, and gas boiler systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of mechanically biased contracts, ensuring effective delivery and compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Provide customer support across a network of approximately 600 properties, predominantly in Staffordshire and the surrounding region.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to contract terms.
  • Operate a bespoke asset management system to track contractor performance, report submission deadlines, and audit technical work reports.
  • Conduct supplier staff audits to monitor safe working practices and competence.
  • Assist with the procurement process, updating technical specifications, and assessing supplier responses.

Requirements

  • Experience in facilities management, preferably in a large multi-site environment.
  • Strong knowledge of property statutory compliance regulations, including Health and Safety at Work Act and COSHH.
  • Professional qualification in a relevant property-related field or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Valid driving license and access to a vehicle.
