About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Contracts Manager to join our team at Capita. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for managing multiple mechanically biased contracts, working with suppliers to ensure effective delivery, and providing customer support across a large portfolio of properties.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple mechanically biased contracts, including air conditioning, swimming pool plants, gas boiler systems, and HVAC.
  • Work with suppliers to overcome obstacles and ensure effective delivery of contracts.
  • Provide customer support across a large portfolio of properties, predominantly in Staffordshire and the surrounding region.
  • Operate a bespoke asset management system to manage contractor adherence to work schedules and report submission deadlines.
  • Undertake supplier staff audits to monitor safe working and competence.
  • Assist with the procurement process, updating and improving technical specifications, and assessing supplier responses.

Requirements

  • Experience of facilities management in a large multi-site environment.
  • Knowledge of property statutory compliance regulations, including Health and Safety at Work Act, COSHH, and CDM.
  • Professional qualification in a relevant property-related field, such as BSC, BEng, HNC, or HND.
  • Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, to manipulate data and extract information from management reports.
  • Experience of programme management and performance management related to property.
  • Valid driving license with access to own vehicle.
