Musculoskeletal Clinical Specialist Development Post: A Career Advancement Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Musculoskeletal (MSK) Clinician to join our Specialist MSK team as a Clinical Specialist Development Post. This role will provide a unique opportunity for professional growth and development, enabling you to work towards a Band 8 Clinical Specialist role.
Key Responsibilities- Work as an integral part of the Specialist MSK Service, developing comprehensive assessments, triage, and management of patients with MSK hand and elbow conditions.
- Develop from a Band 7 to a Band 8a Musculoskeletal Clinical Specialist Hand and Elbow Specialist.
- Under supervision, work towards becoming independent in ordering further investigations as required and referring patients to other relevant clinical teams.
- Support the MSK service with effective triaging of referrals into the MSK Service.
- Liaise with other team members to identify client-centred needs and ensure progress through the appropriate care pathway.
- Ensure a high standard of clinical care for patients under your management, supporting and facilitating more junior staff to do likewise, using evidence-based practices and evaluating outcomes.
- Keep up to date with clinical developments, current research, and implementing changes in clinical practice.
- Guide the development of colleagues of all grades through teaching, supervision, and advice, and through in-service development, so you can act as a source of specialist advice on clinical management of selected conditions.
- Work from key hub sites and local community clinics managing patients who have self-referred and those referred by GPs.

Person Specification- BSc Hons Physiotherapy or equivalent.
- Health Professions Council Registration.
- Evidence of Postgraduate study to M level.
- Evidence of postgraduate courses/CPD.
- Significant relevant postgraduate MSK experience with some experience at senior level.
- Evidence of continuing professional development portfolio.
- Previous NHS Experience.
- Experience of audit and service development.
- Experience of working closely with other health professionals.
