NAES Corporation seeks a dedicated Power Plant Operations Technician to join our team at our Peterborough facilities.

This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our combined cycle and reciprocating peaking power plants, which play a vital role in meeting regional energy demands.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Operate plant systems to maintain compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
  • Execute start-up, shut-down, and routine operations of power plant equipment.
  • Perform plant maintenance tasks to ensure optimal performance, availability, and reliability.
  • Diagnose and report plant and control system faults, prioritizing safety protocols.
  • Apply operational standards and procedures diligently.
  • Generate reports on operational events and provide information for maintenance activities.
  • Develop and maintain site documentation and procedures.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
Your Qualifications:
  • A strong understanding of power station operations, technical procedures, and safety rules.
  • Knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations.
  • An Operations or Engineering qualification, or relevant study towards an engineering degree.
  • Proven ability to follow procedures meticulously and work independently.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A valid driver's license.
