Job Overview

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality instruction and training to aspiring construction professionals, covering the theoretical and practical aspects of the Level 4 HNC Construction program.
  • Provide comprehensive instruction on construction principles, techniques, regulations, and best practices, ensuring apprentices have a solid understanding of the subject matter.
  • Develop and adapt training materials, lesson plans, and assessments to meet the specific needs of apprentices and align with the requirements of the Level 4 HNC qualification.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and hands-on activities, to cater to diverse learning styles and maximize apprentices' comprehension and retention.
  • Assess apprentices' progress through regular evaluations, tests, and assignments, providing constructive feedback and guidance to help them achieve their learning goals.

Requirements:

  • Either teaching or training experience in the construction sector, or extensive experience in the construction industry with a deep understanding of construction principles, techniques, and best practices, together with experience of mentoring or coaching and looking to advance into a training role.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping students succeed in their construction careers.
