Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Staff Source. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of our transport business, ensuring the smooth operation of our fleet and logistics operations.
Key Responsibilities:- Transport Operations: Plan and coordinate routes, brief and debrief drivers, and lead the transport planning team.
- Team Management: Manage drivers, yard operatives, mechanics, and other staff to ensure efficient and safe operations.
- Customer Service: Handle customer orders, track shipments, and liaise with customers, suppliers, and customs.
- Problem Solving: Reduce fuel and overhead costs, maximize driver hours, and adhere to health and safety practices and drivers' hours regulations.
- Logistics Coordination: Organize sub-contractors, book ferries, and record shipments.
We are looking for a candidate with 2-3 years of managerial experience in a transport environment, with proven business management skills and the ability to lead by example. You will have a good geographical knowledge of Ireland, UK, and Europe, and be a natural communicator with strong organizational, time-management, and prioritizing skills. You will also be competent with MS Office, particularly Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and have an eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure to hit deadlines.
We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 to £40,000 (negotiable), smart offices based near Banbridge, free parking, 28 days' holiday, company pension, uniform, and Monday to Friday working hours.
