Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing maintenance operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and supporting our engineering team in delivering high-quality service.

Key Responsibilities

Provide technical support and maintenance oversight across the healthcare facility. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards at all times. Assist engineering technicians and support staff in their daily tasks. Manage work orders and allocate resources effectively to maintain operational standards. Supervise on-site engineering personnel within the designated facility. Ensure the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) as per established protocols. Respond to reactive maintenance requests within agreed service levels. Conduct statutory inspections and ensure timely resolution of any identified issues. Participate in health and safety meetings and support infection control initiatives. Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety requirements. Provide technical guidance on compliance issues to both clinical and non-clinical staff. Assist in the procurement process for new equipment as necessary. Implement corporate engineering initiatives within the facility. Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in maintenance practices. Provide first-line support for medical gas systems and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. Participate in multi-site on-call duties as required. Collaborate with contractors for minor repair and maintenance tasks.

Qualifications and Skills

Proven experience in a maintenance management role, preferably within a healthcare setting. Strong background in managing contractors and service providers. Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Experience with Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems is an advantage.
