Facilities Maintenance Supervisor

The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing the engineering and maintenance operations within our healthcare facilities. This position requires a strong commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards while ensuring that all maintenance tasks are executed efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering and maintenance support across the healthcare facilities.
  • Provide expert technical guidance on health, safety, and environmental matters.
  • Assist engineering technicians and support staff in their daily operations.
  • Manage work orders and allocate resources appropriately within the facility.
  • Supervise on-site engineering personnel to ensure compliance with maintenance protocols.
  • Ensure the completion of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) routines as outlined in operational manuals.
  • Respond to reactive maintenance requests in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Conduct statutory inspections and ensure all remedial actions are taken.
  • Participate in health and safety meetings as required.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
  • Provide technical support and advice to both clinical and non-clinical staff.
  • Assist in the procurement of equipment and provide input on compliance matters.
  • Implement corporate engineering initiatives across the facilities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts in maintenance practices.
  • Ensure effective communication with contractors and coordinate minor repair works.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proven experience in a maintenance management role within a healthcare setting.
  • Strong background in managing contractors and service teams.
  • Relevant qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Familiarity with CAFM systems and maintenance management software.
