Our partner secondary institution is seeking to appoint a dedicated Educational Support Specialist to join a friendly secondary school in Derby, DE1.
Position Overview:
As an Educational Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in assisting learners, promoting their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted support to students with special educational needs, enabling them to engage with their studies.
- Deliver customized one-on-one and small group assistance.
- Track and encourage the progress of students, fostering their social, emotional, and academic development.
- Maintain open communication with staff members and parents.
- Promote inclusion by motivating participation in learning activities.
Qualifications:
- A relevant qualification or degree is preferred.
- Experience in an educational setting or similar environment is advantageous.
- Ability to work with diverse learning needs, adapting educational approaches and providing tailored support.
- A genuine passion for education and creating a positive learning atmosphere for all students.
- An Enhanced DBS and two references are required for this position.
