Locum Ward-Based Pharmacist
Location:Various NHS Hospitals across the UK
Rate:£27 - £35 per hour (dependent on experience)
Contract Type:Locum / Temporary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced pharmacist to join our team and work within NHS hospitals, providing vital care to patients in ward-based settings. This is a fantastic opportunity to expand your clinical experience while making a positive impact on patient care.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical pharmacy services to inpatient wards, ensuring safe and effective use of medications.
- Conduct patient medication reviews and deliver expert pharmaceutical advice to medical and nursing staff.
- Assist with discharge planning, ensuring accurate and timely dispensing of medication.
- Support antimicrobial stewardship initiatives and other clinical governance activities.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient treatment plans.
- Registered Pharmacist with the GPhC (General Pharmaceutical Council).
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a hospital setting (ward-based experience preferred).
- Strong knowledge of clinical pharmacy and medicines management.
- Excellent communication skills with a patient-centered approach.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Competitive hourly rates of £27 - £37 per hour, depending on experience.
