About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Project Manager to join our team at Winner Recruitment. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from the pre-construction stage to completion, ensuring that they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee projects from pre-construction to completion, ensuring timely and budget-friendly delivery
  • Check design documents with architects, surveyors, and engineers to ensure accuracy and compliance
  • Plan and coordinate projects from start to finish, including organizing schedules of works and programs
  • Plan work and oversee the buying of necessary materials and equipment with the assistance of the procurement team
  • Oversee the management of the construction site on a day-to-day basis, including supervising the labor force, monitoring subcontractors, checking materials, inspecting work, and overseeing quality control
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget by setting benchmarks, agreeing budgets, and monitoring progress
  • Produce project programs and report on progress
  • Promote and maintain health and safety, including site inspections to ensure safety rules are being followed
  • Identify and agree variations with clients
  • Manage subcontractor schedules and budgets
  • Attend site meetings to monitor progress
  • Quality management - ensuring construction projects meet agreed technical standards
  • Liaise with technical and financial staff, subcontractors, legal teams, and the client's own representatives
  • Prepare work packages and oversee procurement for sites
  • Work on-site and in an office

Requirements:

  • An in-depth understanding of the construction industry
  • An understanding of legal documentation surrounding construction (JCT, NEC)
  • Knowledge of Maths and IT
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Business management skills
  • The ability to use your initiative
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Strong written skills
  • Current SMSTS and First Aid required
  • In-depth knowledge of MS Project
  • Basic AUTOCAD experience
  • Full UK driving license
  • Right to work in the UK is essential
