Head of Preclinical Research and Development

To drive the advancement of our client's development to Phase 2, we are seeking a seasoned Head of Preclinical Research and R&D / Pharmacology to lead our team.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute preclinical strategies for lead assets and pipeline programs.
- Oversee daily preclinical activities, team management, budgeting, and contingency planning.
- Collaborate with CROs, development partners, and academic institutions to advance our research.
- Review and oversee preclinical submissions to regulatory agencies (FDA, MHRA, EMA, etc.).
- Work with Clinical Development and IP teams to design trials and secure intellectual property.
- PhD in Pharmacology or related field.
- Proven leadership in pharmacology and preclinical functions within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Familiarity with legislation and guidelines for preclinical drug development.
- Skilled in writing regulatory documents, grant proposals, and scientific publications.
- Experience presenting data at national/international meetings.
