Job Title: Head of Research and Development

At DNA Life Sciences, we are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Head of Research and Development to lead our preclinical research efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing research strategies to advance our pipeline programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Discovery and Preclinical Research strategies to drive pipeline growth.
  • Lead a team of researchers and manage daily activities, ensuring effective budget management and contingency planning.
  • Oversee the production of high-quality pharmacology data and development hypotheses in CNS therapeutic areas.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors, partners, and academic centers to achieve strategic goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines and standards, including ICH requirements.
  • Partner with the Clinical Development team to design and implement trial protocols.
  • Identify and secure intellectual property from research activities.
  • Maintain Preclinical GxP and Health & Safety standards through ongoing training.

Requirements:

  • PhD in Pharmacology or related field.
  • Extensive senior-level experience in Pharmacology and Preclinical research within the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Knowledge of preclinical drug development legislation and guidelines.
  • Experience in scientific technical writing and presentation skills.
  • Strong budget management and organizational skills.
  • Effective problem-solving and time management abilities.
  • Leadership experience in team management and development.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in scientific software and tools.
