Job Type: Full-time, Fixed-term until 30 April 2028

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Web Development and Application Specialist to join our team at the University of Edinburgh. As a key member of our Childlight research team, you will be responsible for consulting on, designing, and delivering a number of key Childlight operational and public-facing web applications.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with research teams globally to construct key Childlight projects, including our Into The Light global CSEA prevalence index.
  • Develop and maintain the Childlight website and intranet.
  • Work with multi-sector programmes and global institutions to establish effective stakeholder relationships and manage multiple and diverse stakeholder/sector arrangements.
  • Manage and work in multi-user environments, taking responsibility for the conception and delivery of ideas, improvements, and value to key Childlight outputs.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience of web development skills and frameworks.
  • Experience of delivering data visualisations in web applications, with demonstrable examples.
  • Strong background in SQL and JSON for database and data-driven scripting.
  • Significant experience of working with global institutions and managing multiple stakeholder relationships.
