Planner - Production Planning Specialist

Job SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Planner to join our team in Warrington. As a Planner, you will be responsible for utilizing available planning systems to convert sales forecasts into achievable production and material plans and schedules that optimally balance customer service and operational cost efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Utilize planning systems to create production and material plans that meet customer service and operational cost efficiency targets.
- Manage risks within the plan and adjust orders as necessary to achieve customer service and stock targets.
- Communicate with suppliers to resolve issues with materials availability and share forecasts with them.
- Measure, minimize, and publish expected obsolete/over stocks of finished products and raw materials.
- Collaborate with operations teams to ensure accurate exchange of information and champion ongoing communication.
- Propose and implement continuous improvements in the planning process.
- Maintain a state of perpetual audit-readiness for all audits to ensure compliance with working practices.
- Translate production plans into material requirements and convert them into supplier purchase orders.
- Time-served understanding of the planning process.
- FMCG knowledge and experience of working in a fast-paced seasonal environment.
- Experience working with multiple ranges of SKUs, including short and long lead times.
- Attention to detail and analytical thinking.
- Computer literacy, including experience with ERP systems.
