The Royal Marsden is a leading cancer centre in Europe, renowned for its exceptional care and innovative treatments. We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team in a Paediatric and TYA (Teenage and Young Adult) setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality occupational therapy services to patients with cancer and their families, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care.
- Conduct assessments, provide interventions, and evaluate patient progress, using evidence-based practices and best available research.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals, patients, and families to promote patient-centered care, education, and empowerment.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the development of policies, procedures, and guidelines that enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
- Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, COT).
- Post-registration experience in occupational therapy, preferably in a cancer or paediatric setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development, staying up-to-date with best practices and research in occupational therapy.
