Credit Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit Controller to join our team at Kids Planet Day Nurseries Limited. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for overseeing the group's portfolio of nurseries' debt and sales ledger.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure timely payment from customers and follow up on past-due bills via phone, email, or letter.
- Discuss repayment schedules and negotiate with customers as needed.
- Follow company debt policies and initiate legal proceedings if necessary.
- Invoice customers on a monthly basis using nursery software.
- Support and process LA documentation surrounding EY Funding, claiming via the online portal and payments received.
- Reconcile outside agency payments and process Direct Debit collections.
- Issue monthly statements and resolve parent finance queries.
- Maintain open lines of communication with nurseries to ensure productive relationships.
- Perform month-end duties and other tasks as required.
- At least 3 years of dedicated Credit Control experience or transferable experience from a different field.
- Good level of competence in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Proven experience in a B2C environment desirable.
- Confident communication skills and excellent telephone manner.
- Ability to listen to customers and negotiate successful resolutions.
- Self-motivated, calm, and professional, with the ability to work efficiently in a busy office environment.
- Excellent numerical ability and problem-solving skills.
- Full-time, permanent position based at Lymm Head Office.
- Competitive salary range of £24,000.00-£27,500.00 per year.
