About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer to join our team in York. As a key member of our E&P team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality design solutions for major rail projects across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the delivery of electrical services across multiple projects, ensuring projects meet all client requirements, applicable standards, and agreed budget and programme.
  • Produce designs from concept to completion, including general and emergency lighting systems, and cable management systems.
  • Interact and liaise with internal staff, sub-contractors, and clients to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Provide monthly cost to complete forecasts to the Project Management Team and account for the design delivery of allocated E&P/MEP Projects.
  • Act as design checker and CRE on specific projects as directed by the Discipline Lead.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in a relevant engineering subject.
  • Experience in design of electrical systems on Railways Stations.
  • Sound knowledge of Network Rail assurance processes, codes of practice, and standards.
  • Basic use of AutoCAD/Revit/MicroStation is preferred.
  • IEng/CEng accreditation with relevant Engineering Institution or working towards.
  • Experience within a BIM environment.
  • Computer literate, specifically Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good commercial awareness including programming and delivery to budgets and timescales.
