The Estates Team comprises seasoned property professionals who have been delivering estates and asset management services for over 25 years. As a strategic partner to numerous Local Authorities, we operate through a joint venture model, providing services across various contract types, with a focus on understanding and fulfilling our clients' needs.

In the role of Associate Surveyor, you will assist the Associate Director in overseeing property professionals and technical staff specializing in property management. You will also manage your own caseload, adhering to initiatives and directives while ensuring high-quality outputs aligned with the Group's values.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Effectively manage day-to-day operations and ensure robust performance management of the wider estates team.
  2. Collaborate with clients to develop, implement, and monitor property strategies that align with their corporate objectives.
  3. Engage with clients to support Valuation and Estates Management initiatives, while managing an active asset valuation program.
  4. Monitor the income and expenditure of the team, consistently striving for best practices.
  5. Provide proactive and responsive strategic advice to clients on all property-related matters.
  6. Identify new business opportunities to enhance service delivery.
  7. Achieve fee-earning targets at 90% and contribute to the Estates business plan objectives.
  8. Comply with Group ISO standards, ensuring quality-assured outputs.
  9. Perform any other duties appropriate to the grade of the position, including travel to other offices as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and experience:

  • Chartered Membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in an Estates-related discipline.
  • Significant relevant experience with a minimum of three years post-qualification.
  • Experience in managing a team and/or holding management responsibilities.
  • Preferably, experience working within a Local Authority.
  • Understanding of or direct experience with Compulsory Purchase Orders (CPO) and asset valuation.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
