This company currently generates a $20m turnover supplying into market-leading retailers in the USA such as Home Depot, Lowe's, and Sam's.
The ideal candidate will have a background in driving business development within the garden centre/outdoor retail/DIY retail market and will be responsible for leading the UK sales strategy. This will involve working autonomously and building a sales team around you, therefore leadership skills are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define the UK's commercial strategy and develop a sales team from scratch to help deliver sales targets.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify industry trends and potential growth areas.
- Negotiate mutually beneficial terms with clients to facilitate sustainable growth.
- Present products to clients, understand their needs, and create proposals.
- Develop a portfolio of clients and ensure a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Mentor and facilitate the professional development of your team.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments, attend trade shows, and networking events.
What We Offer:
- A base salary negotiable depending on industry experience.
- An uncapped commission structure.
- A £5k car allowance.
- 25 days (+ bank holidays) + 5% employer pension contribution.
- A permanent role with a home/field-based location across the UK.
